A Special Thanks...

So, I just wanted to post a quick note as we begin final preparations for the trip. For nearly two years now, we've been working on our adoption. Through it all, one person has been absolutely amazing, and that's my beautiful wife, Rebecca. (she's going to shoot me when she reads this!)

Endless mountains of forms...financial forms, applications, home studies, passports, visas... the list just goes on and on. Imagine spending two years at the Department of Motor Vehicles, that's what the last two years have been like for Becci. She didn't always enjoy it, in fact at times she really had to force herself to keep going. It has not been uncommon to be up working on some important form at midnight on a weeknight, with a 5AM alarm clock set for work the next morning, and it's always been Becci to make sure it got done.

Someday, we expect that Aubrey will read back through these blog posts. It's important for her to know that her Mommy worked tirelessly to get her here, that even when she was exhausted, her Mommy never was too tired to keep moving us closer together. Filling out some immigration form in triplicate may not be the most glamorous task, rarely do you get a pat on the back for a "great job on that financial statement", but that's what this "paper pregnancy" has been about, and we couldn't have gotten here with out Becci. I can't thank her enough, and I can't wait to see Mommy and Daughter together. It's been a long time coming, and nobody deserves the joy of new parenthood more than Becci.

We love you...
Jim, Aaron and Aubrey!
